To make sure you're informed at all times about community happenings, here's a list of social channels and hashtags, alert systems, and apps to get the most up-to-date information.
For emergency community alerts, you can sign up for the City of Cleveland's notifications via CodeRED. If you plan to use public transportation during Convention Week, make sure to register for RTA's notifications, alerts, and schedule or route changes through their Commuter Alerts system. For real-time traffic information, try the OHGO app, or tune into local public radio or local news stations to know whether you'll need to plan for extra time or take a different route.
The Host Committee is running a Social Media Command Center during the week of the Convention to provide the information you need, when you need it. The Cleveland 2016 Host Committee's Social Media Command Center will operate 24/7 during the Convention to answer questions, engage the community and visitors, and share content.
Have a question during the convention? Tweet it with the hashtag #AskCLE and our Command Center staff will answer it for you. Want local convention updates? Follow @2016CLE on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or search hashtag #2016CLE. If you're into Snapchatting, subscribe to cleconvention to get the latest snaps.
