The Cleveland 2016 Host Committee, Inc. is an Ohio nonprofit corporation with no political affiliation. It is responsible for organizing, hosting and funding the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Its mission is to promote Northeast Ohio and ensure Cleveland is best represented, and to lessen the burden of local governments in hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention.
The Host Committee is comprised of prominent business executives, civic leaders and other influential leaders from across Cleveland, the state of Ohio, and the nation who are dedicated to ensuring the 2016 Republican National Convention’s success.

Monitoring and facilitating the completion of key infrastructure projects and the implementation of local legislative initiatives.
Overseeing and executing all Host Committee strategic operations and financial matters.
Building and maintaining partnerships with local residents, businesses and community leadership through outreach and education efforts on behalf of the Host Committee.
Promoting and fulfilling Convention sponsorship opportunities and fundraising efforts.
Negotiating and securing all contracts for local hotels and venues for use by the Host Committee and the Committee on Arrangements.
Overseeing and executing all marketing, communications and public relations strategic plans on behalf of the Host Committee.
Overseeing and coordinating all security and public safety efforts on behalf of the Host Committee, including emergency medical services.
Overseeing and coordinating strategic transportation plans and logistics on behalf of the Host Committee.
Facilitating the completion of community enhancement projects
in order to enrich the overall experience of 2016 Republican National Convention guests and visitors.
Recruiting, training and directing all volunteers for the 2016 Republican National Convention.
Coordinating and executing two, large-scale community events preceding and succeeding the 2016 Republican National Convention.
